Comprehensive understanding of hotel kitchen operations. Responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner. Person has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, sanitation, basic cost control understanding, written and verbal communication, leadership skills, strong organizational skills and computer skills. May assist in monitoring payroll costs & overtime. Responsibilities include supervision of the culinary team. Behaviors must align with our Purpose, Brand, Values, and Leadership Profile. -Texas Food Handlers Certification
-Culinary Degree or relevant experience
-Proficient in Microsoft Office products
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
-Strong planning and organizational skills
-Experience in a high volume restaurant required
-Experience in banquet operations strongly desired
-Must be a team player and a dynamic leader
-Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
