Sodexo is a seeking an Executive Chef 1 for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, located near Dallas, TX . The Executive Chef will be working in a new hospital with a state of the art kitchen and cafe. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is one of the leading medical education and biomedical research institutions in the United States. This is a 500 bed acute care hospital with a busy cafe and patient dining.

This position is responsible for inventory, food management system, and production for all retail, including the cafe, grab and go stores and catering. This Chef will work closely with our Executive Chef 3.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution

Key Duties

-Executes the culinary function

-Customer & Client satisfaction

-Manages food & physical safety program.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
