Kforce has a client seeking a Financial Reporting Director in Dallas, Texas (TX).Job Description:Responsible for managing the Financial Reporting and Global Capital Markets Accounting/Reporting functions. Financial Reporting functions primarily include SEC reports such as Forms 10-K and 10-Q, earnings release on Form 8-K, and capital-related filings, bank regulatory reports such as Call Reports, FR Y-9Cs, Y-14Qs, and Y-15s, and Corporate Board Reports. Key regulatory responsibility for complex calculations of regulatory capital and risk-based capital ratios.Reporting Information:The Financial Reporting Director reports to the Chief Accounting Officer. This position has 3 direct reports and 10 indirect reports.Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage calculations of risk-weighted assets, regulatory capital and risk-based capital ratios for bank and consolidated entities

  • Manage GCM accounting/reporting function, ensuring GL bookkeeping and reconciliation is completed in a timely manner, prepaid and accruals are properly reviewed and maintained, proper testing is performed on systems impacting GL prior to upgrades/conversions, implementing GAAP and regulatory changes, problem resolution, etc.

  • Research, consult on and implement complex regulatory reporting requirements, including, but not limited to, Basel III capital requirements and implications of FDIC assessment rate calculation

  • Partner with Investor Relations, Business Finance and the Business Units to generate accurate, transparent and clearly written narrative for 10-K/Q and earnings releases

  • Manage and develop staff

  • Assess financial disclosures for compliance with SEC/bank regulatory reporting standards/ requirements

  • Identify and implement process and control improvements and continually increase efficiency in reporting process

  • Responsible for all aspects of reporting functions

  • Bachelors' degree

  • CPA license

  • 10 years' experience, including SEC and Regulatory Reporting Experience as well as experience managing a staff of accounting/finance professionals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint

  • Exceptional, proven written communication skills

  • Proficient in XBRL, very strong working knowledge of GAAP

  • Ability to research multiple sites for answers to GAAP/SEC/Regulatory reporting questions

  • Strong orientation to detail, but with clear vision of the big picture

  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive functions at once

  • Ability to comfortably interact with executive level management
