Atmos Energy Fleet Services Coordinator in Dallas, Texas

Professional level position responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining the fleet services activities associated with enterprise fuel programs, electronic billing & validation, vehicle/equipment resource recovery, systems data integrity/reconciliation, and overseeing licensing & compliance programs, as well as other fleet duties as needed.

  1. Coordinates the Company-wide Fuel Management program, including enterprise process facilitation, financial compliance, authorization authority, compiling management reports, and development of program procedures relating to use of the fuel card program.

  2. Oversees annual corporate vehicle & equipment disposition. Coordinates recovery of fleet vehicles/equipment between Company sites and authorized auction facilities. Maintains sales logs, vehicle/equipment condition archives, evaluates vendor performance, maintains and prepares market condition matrix, validates sales proceeds, and executes final documents to leasing companies for billing or proceeds allocation as needed.

  3. Works closely with the department management to solicit, compile and analyze performance activities of vehicle re-marketers used within the Company?s remarketing effort. Assists with the annual evaluation and review of contractor performance, bid solicitation, and awarding of contracts for services as required.

  4. Oversees the Company?s vehicle licensing and permitting program. Responsible for licensing and permitting Company vehicles on an annual basis. Position is single point of contact and liaison between service providers and company management/operators to resolve issues of compliance, service deficiencies, registration & licensing.

  5. Oversees and maintains company fleet records and database applications, processes all user change requests, billing updates, coordinates title and registration document retention, and acts as authorized agent on behalf of the Company and select leasing companies in regard to documentation related to resource recovery program.

  6. Researches and compiles various reports regarding vehicle acquisition and disposition. Assists with annual vehicle replacement activities, salvage equipment disposal, and other general fleet management and regulatory issues.

  7. Provides client support through the development and coordination of an effective vendor network for various fleet services. Develops a reliable and cost effective vendor network and evaluates vendor/product performance and establishes assurance programs to maintain a high level of product/service quality and integrity.

  8. Validates and processes appropriate fund allocations to divisional operations from resource recovery operations and services billings.

  9. Keeps abreast of changing vehicle specifications and fleet requirements.

  10. Recommends revisions to company fleet standards, practices and specifications based on new products, changes within the automotive industry and Federal and state regulations.

  11. Coordinates monthly mileage reporting, compiles monthly mileage data and maintains historical database and reports to various management across enterprise.

  12. Performs other related duties as required.


  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and three years progressively responsible experience in fleet administration; or

  2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years progressively responsible experience in fleet administration.


Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals with experience or knowledge of the technical area.


Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.


Requires an intermediate knowledge of various business computer applications such as MS Word and MS Excel.


Works in an office and field environment, requires some travel. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting. Some travel may be required and/or expected as this position is responsible for enterprise objectives, and business management.
