DEAN FOODS COMPANY IT Procurement Specialist III in Dallas, Texas
We are seeking a highly dynamic and experienced IT Procurement Specialist with a strong IT background across hardware, software, outsourcing and mobility to join our IT Supplier Management organization. The IT Procurement Specialist III will be responsible for contract management, supplier strategy, procurement and management and governance.
Essential roles & responsibilities include:
Responsible for day-to-day contract management duties including supporting negotiations of IT procurement contracts: Negotiates, administers, extends, terminates, and renegotiates contracts.
Evaluates and monitors contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices.
Develops, or assists in the development of supplier RFx’s, business cases, and proposal evaluations.
Responsible for management and maintenance of the IT contract management system, which requires the ability to review, understand, and synthesize common contract provisions.
Liaison with Legal department on assigned requests.
Works closely with the business and IT to understand their needs and serves as the IT point of contact for hardware, software, and IT services contracts.
Negotiates service level agreements.
Maintain supplier relationships and continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance management.
Provides status updates on purchases and escalates supplier delivery and implementation issues as necessary to facilitate timely resolution.
Continually seeks optimal value in service from suppliers, reviewing and monitoring performance and return-on-investment metrics and initiating contract modifications.
Analyze changes or new issues in goods and services to find way to reduce costs and improve quality.
Facilitates reoccurring supplier governance forums for selected strategic suppliers.
Qualifies suppliers and maintains an approved supplier database and tracking system.
Establishes standards and procedures for evaluating supplier products and services.
Bachelor’s degree (Required)
5+ years of experience in IT contract management and negotiations (Required)
7 or more years IT work experience
Solid background in contracts with the ability to (a) draft form agreements and (b) review, understand, synthesize, and communicate basic provisions from various types of contracts
Ability to negotiate supplier agreements (MSA’s, SOW’s, NDA’s, Amendments, etc)
Ability to lead and manage RFx’s (from initial request for information through awarding of bid) -manually or automated
Ability to develop and implement supplier metrics that improve quality, costs and benefits
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
Ability to drive compliance and improvement in standard operating procedures and processes of the procurement function
Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
Able to identify, analyze and resolve problems
Highest sense of professionalism and discretion
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, multitask, and adapt well in a rapidly changing environment
Strong team player with willingness to collaborate
Good time management skills (i.e. works efficiently)

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – i.e. Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Must be willing and able to travel approximately 10% annually
Position will be based out of corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX (no relocation available)
