Who we’re looking for Toyota’s IS Infrastructure Services Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Monitoring Consultant.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure Toyota Motor North America’s Monitoring environment is supported in a reliable manner, and serves as the resident expert for this technology.

Reporting to the Manager of Data Transfer, Operation and Monitoring, the person in this role will support the IS Infrastructure Services department's objective to develop, define and revise the Systems Monitoring Strategy for the Manager of Managers (MoM) platform, the integrations into the MoM and ticketing platform.

What you’ll be doing

Develop, define and revise the Systems Monitoring Strategy for the Manager of Managers (MoM) platform, the integrations into the MoM and ticketing platform. The current system used is IBM Netcool. Own and manage the relationship with the MoM vendor Ensure that the MoM is meeting the needs of the Enterprise, that the platform stays current and supportable Define, document and communicate the Monitoring Standards for the Enterprise. Work with the Application, Systems and Infrastructure teams to integrate critical systems into the MoM.
Drive adoption of the monitoring standards into the Enterprise through documentation, training material and one on one support Define, develop and maintain the Unified Console for high level status of the systems that operate the enterprise Develop, define and revise the Applications Monitoring Strategy for the Enterprise and integration Manager of Managers (MoM) platform and the ticketing platform Develop and maintain End User Experience monitoring to create a realistic picture of application, systems and infrastructure performance across HQs, field sites, suppliers and dealers Create common Dashboard standards for application teams to hasten acceptance, adoption and maintenance across business units Define common terms for KPI reporting consistency. Analyze and summarize highly complex operational data; generate reports and make recommendations to mitigate risk and improve performance Analyze and create metrics for executive presentation summarizing production metrics

What you bring

Demonstrated expert level experience with IBM Netcool MoM in a large enterprise. A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience is required Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to senior management Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs Experience in multiple IT disciplines in a complex, distributed business software environment – supporting Operations, Engineering and/or Design. Experience with IBM Netcool. Ability to lead and/or contribute to the creation, dissemination, and governance of policies, platform updates, processes and procedures, as well as defining roadmaps in support of new capabilities.
