Interstate Batteries National Account Manager in Dallas, Texas
To wisely manage Interstate Batteries' relationship with assigned accounts so that customers are satisfied, Interstate is profitable and sales grow.
Assist salesman in the launch of any new accounts for which he will become account manager.
Implement and track the performance of every provision in the supplier/customer agreement.
Report program performance to the customer and to the department Director monthly as needed.
Grow the aggregate volume of managed accounts by a minimum of 30,000 units/year.
Control overhead of each account.
Develop long-term business plan and strategy in order to gain economic and operational efficiencies.
Entertain clients to ensure loyalty and to maintain maximum customer satisfaction.
Manage special projects as assigned by department Director or requested by customer.
Facilitate communication among internal departments.
Manage pricing actions
Control warranty programs
Develop annual budget for each account
Become the “expert” on the assigned accounts and implement approved changes to the customer program.
Ensure the consistent, day-to- day performance of our commitments.
Work with internal departments toward the completion of critical projects.
Aid in bringing uncooperative Distributors into compliance with program parameters.
Business degree or equivalent work experience
3 years of successful automotive account management experience
Battery business knowledge preferred
Excellent communication skills
Able to balance multiple assignments with little supervision
Good analytical skills
Willing to travel
Proven sales ability a plus
