Toyota's Quality Assurance Management Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Senior Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to Lead new model quality target development and recurrence prevention promotion of major issues to ensure issues are counter measured during design and manufacturing development
Reporting to the Manager,the person in this role will support the New Model Quality Assurance department's objective to lead activities for quality planning, evaluation and communication from vehicle development stage through initial launch
Manage related new model preparations for Quality Division and Field including; planning, escalation, resolution and confirmation of high risk issues
Ensure incorporation of Customer Voice within Design and Manufacturing activities
Interface with all levels across affiliates, influencing and promoting Quality Assurance (QA) activities and problem resolution
Monitor audit activities ensuring achievement of section and project Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), with ownership to identify and escalate concerns
Lead the quality gate preparation (Design Handover and Vehicle Customer Release)
Ensure escalation, resolution, and confirmation of critical issues Gain consensus with internal Quality Division (QD) management, Design, and Manufacturing, on issues which need to be addressed Lead Field for Early Detection and Early Resolution of new model customer issues Perform vehicle and component evaluations during development and production trials
A successful candidate will have:
A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or other automotive related field of study Demonstrated problem solving Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to explain technical subjects Experience with vehicle development/preproduction phases Strong project management, leadership, and communication to all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability with leading cross-functional activities, consensus building, organization, perseverance, and follow-up A successful candidate may have:
Experience working in functions or operations related to the Quality function (including plant QE/Quality Control (QC)) Quality related experience in Supplier Engineering, Production Control, Production Engineering, or Research & Development (R&D) Working knowledge of the Toyota functional areas, Toyota Standards and audit practices Completion of Toyota Business Practice problem solving activity Multiple section Toyota Quality Function experience Familiarity with EDER process STANDARD BENEFITS:
