This exciting opportunity will report to the Vice President of Operations and will be located at the corporate office in Dallas, Texas. This is a new position that will provide a great opportunity for the right candidate. The Operations Engineering Project Manager requires solid electrical engineering skills, working knowledge of physical design and manufacturing technology and process. As a manager, the right candidate will have the experience and acumen to lead and manage special Operations Projects, New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects, Quality and Failure Mode Analysis (FMA). Key roles and responsibilities: Manage a team of NIP, Test, Quality and Operations engineering personnel that execute on manufacturing and repair test, FMA and NPI functions. Plans and executes projects for Operations, inclusive of supply chain projects, NPI from design into manufacturing and quality and FMA on customer product returns. Makes project decisions and documents them to maintain project time-lines, costs and quality. Uses company project management tools for execution and reporting. Creates summary and trend reports of project and product quality items. Reports status to the executive team and drives the executive to make major business impacting decisions, as necessary, in the execution of projects. Main owner and administrator of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool (Fusion by Autodesk). Creates Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for pre-design documentation to drive long lead material and supports the Design Engineering team as necessary. Operations primary interface into Design Engineering and if necessary executes technical engineering tasks. Interfaces with external suppliers, service partners and manufacturers while managing projects. Required Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Associate s degree in Electrical Engineering plus 2 years relevant experience Preferred Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Prefer successful completion of Project Management courses Required Experience, Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 3 years as a practicing electrical engineer in PCBA design or similar hardware related product development role Minimum of 2 years in a project management role Experience with cross-functional management and resources in service provider companies A leader and proactive by nature Demonstrated ability to learn tools and technology quickly Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and react well under pressure Working knowledge of classic Waterfall or Gate process and agile development process. Experience with scripts and SQL Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities: 2 years employee management experience Minimum of 5 years in a project management role Knowledge of Python and PostreSQL Only fully complete submissions will be reviewed for consideration.
