Texas Health Resources Patient Navigation Supervisor in Dallas, Texas


Texas Health Organizations for Physicians (THOP), a member of Texas Health Resources, is in search of a Patient Navigation Supervisor.


Primary office will be at the North Point corporate office in Dallas on LBJ Freeway

Travel to clinics approximately 3-4 days per week to the assigned Southwest zone in the Arlington and Fort Worth areas


Two year college degree

(Internal candidates only: May have 4 years of clinic experience in lieu of college degree, to include a minimum of 2 years of referral processing, insurance authorizations)


Two (2) years in Supervisor role

Experience with coaching and conducting performance appraisals of direct reports, interviewing and hiring strongly desired


Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written), utilize program initiatives to guide decisions, support employees by auditing for accuracy and production standards, planning and organizational skills with a high degree of detail, computer literate with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications (SalesForce, EMR, Flowcast, web-based insurance verifications programs) , problem solving skills, goal driven leader who maintains a productive climate who motivates and coaches employees to meet high performance standards, decision making skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (including, but not limited to)

Evaluates and empowers Patent Navigators to provide quality work and accurate information to patients.

Assists in identifying opportunity for improvement within daily work flow process.

Trouble shoots and provides on-site training for Patient Navigators.

Audits, monitors and tracks orders/referrals daily for program accuracy and compliance. Perform weekly and monthly reports for accuracy and insure navigators are within department standards and protocols. Monitor referral queues for production within quality, timeliness, and accuracy parameters.

Recruits and conducts interviews new candidates for patient navigator open positions of employment to include scheduling new hire training.

Responsible for current year operations and logistics.

Day to day and timekeeping supervision.

Communicate key information between Field Patient Navigators process and obstacles within designated zone to Program Manager.

Establishes and maintains relationships with physicians and clinic staff to ensure patient satisfaction.

Ability to address and investigate patient complaints regarding referral timeliness.
