Job Summary

Under the delegated authority of the SCC psychiatrist, the nurse practitioner is responsible for providing clinical assessments and evaluations; crisis intervention; case management including follow-ups and referrals; research and evaluation of clinical outcomes; consultations with SCC professional staff, and consultations with university faculty, staff, and parents.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master’s Nursing degree from a Psychiatric & Mental Health NP Program

Texas Board of Nursing Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified.

1 year experience training and working with young adults

Preferred Education and Experience

Masters degree in Nursing from a Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program; Texas Board of Nursing Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; 2 years significant experience working with young adults; 2 years working in a professional setting.
