Job Description


Support implementation of reimbursement and distribution service plans to achieve product and corporate revenue and reimbursement objectives, meet customer needs, and help develop overall commercial excellence.

•Support management of the Home Injection Training Services, Patient Assistance Program, and Co-pay Assistance Program

•Execute reimbursement initiatives to increase awareness of the reimbursement system Mallinckrodt has established and ensure patients have access to Acthar in a timely manner.

•Implement initiatives for critical payer accounts and their contracted specialty pharmacy distributors and other critical payer prospects.

•Identify prospective opportunity or coverage issue

•Identify appropriate executive level(s) to contact within payer organization

•Work with sales force to identify key physicians to help implement a strategy to positively influence payer decision

•Provide additional information and follow up when necessary

•Interact with key accounts within assigned geography to assist the sales force with referral pull-through strategy. Visit these accounts on a regular basis as determined by the Sales Manager and Sales Representative.

•Conduct regular field travel to interact with key accounts and address any past referral challenges and discuss any concerns regarding reimbursement.

•Support RDSS department’s role as a central resource to commercial operations (sales, marketing & analytics) and corporate staff for reimbursement and distribution issues and for their ongoing development of this knowledge base in those areas.

•Assist with the day-to-day management of the A.S.A.P. hub to maximize performance.

•Provide case updates and coaching to their assigned sales teams to help expedite the referral process and get drug to patients as quickly as possible.

•Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as required.


· Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with specialty pharmaceutical products, either in field sales, practice management, or other access-related position

· Reimbursement, National Accounts management, Specialty Distribution or brand management highly desired

· Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and relationship-building skills

· Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills also required

· Bachelor’s or higher degree required

· Travel required - up to 50%
