Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, a Magnet facility, is currently in need of a Registered Nurse for our Medical Short Stay Unit

The hours for this position are: 7:00 am- 7:00 pm for a total of 36 hours per week and every other weekend with holiday requirements.

Qualified candidates will be a Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs. For RNs hired after Jan 2014 completion of BSN within 3 years of THR RN start date as defined in offer letter. Effective Dec 2016 RNs hired or transferring in THR completion of BSN within 2 years.

Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Texas or Compact State.

BSN - Preferred

Current AHA BLS training.

BCLS required

One year of clinical/acute care experience is required, preferably in a Med/Surg environment.

Responsibilities will include patient assessment, creating and maintaining a sterile and safe environment to include service as patient advocate. Initiate action to protect patient rights and/or preferences; adhere to HIPAA, Safety and Infection Control guidelines. Candidates will need to be able to effectively communicate in a clear manner with guests, patients, physicians, team members and other employees. Computer skills are essential.
