We are currently seeking aPainter / Sandblaster to join our growing team!
Operate air-powered equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings inside an enclosed booth
Shovel or pour abrasives into machine hopper
Load parts on racks in enclosed rooms
Mix paints per specifications and requirements
Operate automatic and manual painting equipment
Move, organize, mark and hang unfinished and finished parts
Help maintain paint line, dip tanks, agitators, spray booths and other equipment
Store, handle and dispose of flammable and hazardous materials following all Federal, State and company regulations and guidelines.
Clean and maintain ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment
Keep up with routine maintenance procedures and cleaning equipment.
Document inspections and maintain proper records.
Performing general labor and cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor or lead person.
Interested candidates must meet the following requirements :
Ability to follow directions, company operating procedures, safety rules
Have experience working in a manufacturing or production type environment
Must not have fear of confined spaces
Able to wear protective suit in extreme temperatures
Ability to lift, push, pull objects of up to 40 pounds frequently for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to pass a respiratory medical evaluation and full-face respirator fitment test
High School diploma or GED equivalent
