Toyota's Information Optimization Department is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Decision Senior Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support managers by analyzing data analyses and summarizing the results in an understandable way to assist in decision making.
Reporting to the Decision Support Manager, the person in this role will support the Information Optimization department's objective to extract and analyze data and to present it to stakeholders across the enterprise.
Present data in a way that helps NAPO make sense of what is happening in the supply chain. They will gather data from the entire supply chain and organization and present it in the form of dashboards, scoreboards and ad hoc queries. This will also include presenting a visualization of data and geographic mapping to help tell a story with the data you are using.
Utilize techniques to analyze the available data from internal and external resources to make better predictions. This includes developing forecasts to predict when equipment will break down, how line volume growth will impact facility, etc.
Utilize data and their predictions to make recommendations on what action to take. These recommendations could include how many facilities the organization should have and where they should be located, optimized logistics routes or warehouse operations schedules.
Make insightful connections on how to piece together new data sets and drive these as inputs to the BI and Data Architect teams. This position will not be technical expert and write business requirements, but will be business SME that works with System on creating more efficient data sources to improve supply chain visibility.
Use innovative ways to answer data requests when complete data is not available.
Work across the NAPO supply chain partner teams to continuously improve our understanding of data.
Provide business with timely ad hoc reports or data support, along with data modeling solutions to the business to assist in decision making.
A successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT/IS or closely related technical field
Experience with data modeling and data warehouse concepts
Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Technical knowledge of all (or some) Toyota Host systems, SAS programming language, DB2, QMF, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, OBIEE, Tableau, Alteryx, and Oracle
A successful candidate may have:
Experience with part distribution or financial systems
Experience working with mainframe applications
Experience working with Big Data sets
