The Senior Financial Analysts will:

  • Be responsible for various complex analytical functions, such as preparing budgets, explaining variances, and operational and financial decision support. Must be comfortable preparing and presenting their proposals to the broader Team, including Senior Leadership; may take on the role of mentor to develop Analysts on their Team.

  • Need limited supervision and/or direction.

  • Develop strong relationships with Customers, peers and Leaders.

  • Create and present material, both written and oral, to Leaders.

  • Attend and actively participate in meetings; may lead simple or routine business meetings.

  • Provide ad Hoc financial and operational support to Leaders.

  • Work well with others as part of a Team.

  • Be Customer Service oriented and maintain a positive attitude while handling challenging Customers.

  • Partner with Technology and other work groups to enhance data quality and accessibility.

  • Transform raw data into easily understood, presentable and actionable findings.

  • Answer business questions using experience, logical reasoning and analytical skills.

  • Handle multiple concurrent projects and prioritize accordingly.

  • Take ownership of individual and Team deliverables.

  • Perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.

  • Build solid working relationships.

  • Start guiding peers and other team members in information sharing.

  • Use minimal, but highly focused input from supervisors.

  • Conduct productive one-on-one meetings.

  • Use presentation materials effectively to communicate important messages.

  • Start constructing hypothesis on own assigned modules and/or broader work.

  • Take increased responsibility for planning data requirements, including for peers.

  • Start recognizing value-creating opportunities, helping supervisor to identify and evaluate them.

  • Achieve expert status on assigned modules of work.

  • High School diploma or equivalency (GED) required

  • 4-year college degree required (focus in: Aviation, Business, Finance or Economics preferred)

  • Strong PC and software skills required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

  • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

  • Corp to corp candidates will not be considered

Optional Skills:

  • 1+ years of experience in airlines or corporate planning preferred

  • CPA or CMA preferred

  • Familiarity with data querying or reporting tools preferred

  • 2+ years experience with Essbase and Hyperion
