Kaufman Rossin Fund Services is seeking Senior Fund Accountants to join our rapidly growing fund administration practice. This practice group provides fund administration services, such as fund start-up and accounting and valuation services, to our hedge fund clients.
Supervise a team of fund accountants in all aspects of fund administration
Coordinate, supervise and review the end-to-end process of fund accounting, including booking all fund transactions, position and cash reconciliations, month end valuations, corporate action processing, and production of monthly financial and investor statements
Financial statement preparation and review includes: the statement of assets and liabilities, schedule of net asset value per share, statement of operations, statement of changes in shareholders’ equity, and the statement of cash flows
Ensure security types are accounted for correctly, including equities, fixed income, options, futures, and many other derivative investments
Deliver training on all aspects of fund accounting
Assist Fund Accountant Supervisor/Manager with administrative and operational duties such as staff supervision, recruitment, and all administrative related duties
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
A minimum of three to five years of experience in financial services or accounting firm
Previous experience in supervisory role, leadership skills a plus
Previous experience with a hedge fund or as an administrator or auditor to hedge funds, a plus
Understanding of securities and financial markets
Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, a must
Working knowledge of Bloomberg, and Advent Geneva or Advent Partner, a plus
Strong organizational and analytical skill, with the ability to effectively summarize findings, both verbally and in writing
Attentive to details and both quick and accurate in handling them
A “Go Beyond” attitude and approach to dealing with clients
Able to travel for 2 weeks of training in Florida
