Baylor Scott & White Health Senior IT Auditor in DALLAS, Texas

Serves as Project Leader in planning, organizing, and directing work to ensure the completion of assigned projects on time and within budget; Identifies potential risk exposures and evaluates the effectiveness of organizational policies and procedures and internal controls designed to mitigate risks within the IT domain; Supervises 1 to 4 auditors assigned to the project; Develops work programs specific to project objectives; Assigns work program procedures and other audit tasks to auditors; Serves as coach/mentor in the professional development of auditors; Evaluates the work of auditors upon completion of projects; Performs work program procedures and other audit tasks as required; Reviews and approves all work papers to ensure that work performed is complete, properly documented, and conclusions reached are adequately supported; Meets regularly with both Internal Audit and client management throughout projects to discuss project status and specific issues identified; Prepares audit reports and reviews them with both Internal Audit and client management; Consult with management regarding new systems to facilitate effective implementation of controls; Performs other duties as requested


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or related field;

At least 4 years IT Audit or related experience (i.e., information systems analysis/development or security administration);

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)


Certified Internal Auditor (CIA;

Masters Degree and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA);

Health Care Industry experience;

Supervisory / Project Lead experience;

Consulting experience with large public accounting firm or large corporation

Well developed analytical / critical thinking skills;

Knowledge of COBIT security and control standards;

Familiar with diverse computing environments and architecture including UNIX, mainframe, client-server, network and personal computers;

Proficient in CAAT applications using ACL, MS Access, or MS Excel;

Understanding of disaster recovery planning, application and system development life cycles, physical and operational security controls, automated assessment tools and reporting, security management Best Practices
