Troubleshoot, repair and/or replacement of all Training Devices and their associated equipment component malfunctions.
Alignment and calibration of Training Devices and their associated equipment to maintain equipment operating requirements.
Perform Operational checks and Preventive Maintenance to maintain equipment in proper working order.
Run automatic and manual Test Guides on all Devices, interpret and present results to FAA inspectors.
Modify existing Hardware or Software on Training Devices to ensure compliance with FAA requirements.
Incorporate Field Service Bulletins and Engineering Change Orders.
Participate with Company or Vendor's technical personnel in developing new and or modified equipment design applications.
Participate in Acceptance Testing of new or modified devices.
Maintain required forms, records and equipment logs.
Initiate and follow up on parts/supplies orders and maintain the stock inventory system.
Maintain clean and safe workplace.
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
High school diploma or equivalency required.
Technical Training, College coursework or technical degree would be preferred.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a flight simulator technician and/or engineer, Avionics maintenance/operation, or comparable formal technical training.
Knowledge of Unix, C or fortran preferred.
Microsoft Certification preferred.
General FCC Telephone Operator License preferred.
Must have the ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
Must have vision ability to view and read computer terminals on a frequent basis.
Ability to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
Ablity to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Must have extensive knowledge of Flight Simulation equipment and their maintenance and regulatory requirements
Must be willing to work all shifts.
Must have the ability to work under tight time constraints.
Must posses valid drivers license.
Must be highly organized, motivated, and capable of working with a minimum amount of supervision.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate in person, via telephone or in writing.
Ability to read documents, follow instructions, learn, and understand office procedures and various contracts.
Ability to type and/or use computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the requirements of the job.
Must be open minded while working within regulatory constraints.
Ability to recognize when a "sense of urgency" is a must.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team, professionally interact with other departments, labor groups and possess the ability to handle complex issues.
Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
Must be able to analyze problems and make sound decisions.
Must be able to master current and emergent PC software packages.
Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company.
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
