  • Troubleshoot, repair and/or replacement of all Training Devices and their associated equipment component malfunctions.

  • Alignment and calibration of Training Devices and their associated equipment to maintain equipment operating requirements.

  • Perform Operational checks and Preventive Maintenance to maintain equipment in proper working order.

  • Run automatic and manual Test Guides on all Devices, interpret and present results to FAA inspectors.

  • Modify existing Hardware or Software on Training Devices to ensure compliance with FAA requirements.

  • Incorporate Field Service Bulletins and Engineering Change Orders.

  • Participate with Company or Vendor's technical personnel in developing new and or modified equipment design applications.

  • Participate in Acceptance Testing of new or modified devices.

  • Maintain required forms, records and equipment logs.

  • Initiate and follow up on parts/supplies orders and maintain the stock inventory system.

  • Maintain clean and safe workplace.

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.


  • High school diploma or equivalency required.

  • Technical Training, College coursework or technical degree would be preferred.


  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a flight simulator technician and/or engineer, Avionics maintenance/operation, or comparable formal technical training.

  • Knowledge of Unix, C or fortran preferred.


  • Microsoft Certification preferred.

  • General FCC Telephone Operator License preferred.


  • Must have the ability to use hand tools and test equipment.

  • Must have vision ability to view and read computer terminals on a frequent basis.

  • Ability to climb and descend stairs and ladders.

  • Ablity to lift up to 35 pounds.


  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.


  • Must have extensive knowledge of Flight Simulation equipment and their maintenance and regulatory requirements

  • Must be willing to work all shifts.

  • Must have the ability to work under tight time constraints.

  • Must posses valid drivers license.

  • Must be highly organized, motivated, and capable of working with a minimum amount of supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate in person, via telephone or in writing.

  • Ability to read documents, follow instructions, learn, and understand office procedures and various contracts.

  • Ability to type and/or use computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the requirements of the job.

  • Must be open minded while working within regulatory constraints.

  • Ability to recognize when a "sense of urgency" is a must.

  • Must be self-motivated.

  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team, professionally interact with other departments, labor groups and possess the ability to handle complex issues.

  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently.

  • Must be able to analyze problems and make sound decisions.

  • Must be able to master current and emergent PC software packages.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
