For more information Email: The System Administrator's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, optimizing, and documenting all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve network and systems issues.

  • Perform daily system monitoring and verify availability of key systems

  • Review system and application logs

  • Verify completion of scheduled backup jobs and maintain tape rotation

  • Implement and administer Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Server 2003 - 2012 R2, SQL server 2005 – 2012 and SharePoint 2013

  • Implement and maintain enterprise security applications including PC whole disk encryption, antivirus, monitoring systems and PC imaging

  • Maintain and deploy the company's current Parallels Container and VMWare environments. Maintain, support the company's Hyper-V infrastructure; convert to VMWare as required

  • Implement and maintain storage systems for Dell Compellent SAN storage

  • Maintain all systems at a high level of security and stability. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions of server systems

  • Monitor network and system performance, troubleshoot system problems, and communicate and escalate as needed

  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures

  • Support 3rd party server applications

  • Build and maintain a network of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 servers with a focus on security and uptime

  • Maintain compliance with all ISO27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Internal Audit requirements relating to the network environment

  • Liaise with external vendors, including ISPs and managed cloud providers, to assure complete and uninterrupted delivery of services

  • Actively participate in disaster recovery/business continuity planning, testing, implementation, and monitoring.

  • Actively participate in helpdesk ticket duties

  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 environments as well as familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 administration, Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013 administration and Active Directory and Group Policy administration

  • Experience with Symantec BackupExec and Dell compellent SAN solutions highly desirable

  • Must have working knowledge of DHCP and DNS within the Microsoft solution

  • Must have the ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and helpdesk skills

  • Microsoft certifications desired: MCSE or equivalent

  • Ability to document systems and processes to cross pollinate knowledge within the team

  • Must have the ability to function in a fast paced environment with minimal direction, and possess a strong customer service orientation
