As Technical Team Lead you will be involved in many aspects of developing applications that will be used by our employees who produce events for some of the most well-known brands in the world. We’re looking for individuals that show they can do whatever it takes to make sure the technology we create, and existing solutions we support, are successfully deployed to our employees. The right person for this position will be able to demonstrate strong technical skills, creative energy and passion for ensuring successful end user experiences. You’ll be expected to communicate well, influence, and lead other team members as part of our quest to be the premier provider of solutions to the event industry.
Flexibility and adaptability are key. Some of the things we do have never been done before, so we need someone who can adapt both in thinking and learning new processes, technologies, applications and methods. Additional duties include:
Define, design, develop and configure Microsoft Solutions Framework
Troubleshoot issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and support resolution accordingly for the Microsoft application environment
Works with Business/Technical Analysts, Project Managers, and other team members during the SDLC phases to understand and implement the desired business functionality.
Updates project leads timely on at risk tasks where timeline adjustments need to be made.
Provides accurate work estimates for development efforts on multiple projects.
Ensures technical specifications are created on multiple projects.
Oversees unit integration of assigned work on multiple projects.
Liaisons with other development, infrastructure and operations teams.
Ensures secure coding standards and best practices are followed
Develops prototypes for design, development, usability, review and evaluation.
Develops complex user interface designs.
Provides technical consultation and support oversight for existing and new Microsoft applications.
Stays abreast of leading edge of technologies, design patterns and best practices.
Participates in complex technical decisions.
Encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Ensures team deliverables are of quality and timeliness.
Recognizes the signs of a dysfunctional team and make changes to increase engagement.
Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.
Guides daily activities of other team members and removing roadblocks
Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implement change to eliminate waste and reduce technical debt.
Ensures third party software is maintained and upgraded to supported software versions.
Provides leadership and mentoring to team members.
Develops partnerships with the IT Team and stakeholders and is viewed as an advocate and trusted advisor.
Communicates (verbally/written) overall project status, deliverables and releases to stakeholders.
Provides leadership and mentoring to team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum ten + years of experience in the related field in a large corporation or consulting environment
Minimum ten + years working knowledge, production support, and configuration experience of relevant systems applications.
Minimum ten + years of experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
Minimum ten + years of experience with waterfall and agile software development methodologies
Experience with Microsoft Visio building UML, flowcharts and workflow diagrams
Minimum five + years experience providing leadership and mentoring to team members
Minimum five + years of experience participating on cross-functional, major project initiatives
Experience with a minimum of five (5) business area domains
Experience with supporting different types of implementations including: enhancement/support projects, new development projects and third party package software
Must have proven PC skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint and tracking software.
