In 2016, Aquasana was purchased by A. O. Smith. Aquasana is an industry-leading player in the highly attractive U. S. residential water filtration industry. Aquasana's award winning products are highly regarded for their selective water filtration process -- keep the nutrients in, take the contaminants out -while priced at a great value for consumers. Over the past 10 years, Aquasana has focused largely on drinking water filters (countertop and under-the-counter), shower filters, and whole house filters sold directly to consumers through Aquasana.com. This growth has prompted Aquasana to seek a General Manager of Indirect Sales to formulate and execute the go-to market strategy and lead sales and marketing efforts to activate the Aquasana brand outside of the direct-to-consumer channel.
This opportunity will be the GM of the indirect channels - inclusive of the brick and mortar retail business, online retail outlets, private label accounts that serve captive markets, food service sales, and international and wholesale arrangements with international and domestic distributors.
Responsible for setting an integrated strategy for maximizing penetration into each market mentioned above.
Provide strategic and creative business leadership to make a significant impact on the future success of the Aquasana brand.
A bachelor's degree is required; An MBA is a plus.
Ten or more years in marketing and/or sales leadership roles in related markets and demonstrated success meeting and/or exceeding performance objectives.
Deep experience managing retail brand activation-- in-store merchandising, promotional calendar, and consumer messaging at point of sale.
Brand management experience in a CPG environment.
Experience successfully developing and implementing retail sales and marketing strategies resulting in significant growth for the organization -- preferrably with "challenger" brands and products; experience in bringing new consumer products to market in similar or related retail channels is preferred.
Strategic ability to understand the commercial landscape, identify the highest impact sales verticals and/or partnership opportunities and develop a strategy for implementation.
Business development skills given the possibility for brand partnerships with multi-national beverage brands, most notably home coffee brands and devices.
Must be strategic and hands-on, with the ability to set vision, identify opportunities, drive results and do the work required to deliver objectives.
Must have the ability to build and lead high performance teams to achieve objectives and the leadership skills to hold people accountable.

Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively is needed.
