The Office of the Associate Dean for Educator Preparation (ADEP) provides leadership and support for all teacher education programs across the University.
The responsibilities of the ADEP Office include: *Working with all teacher education programs across the University to comply with teacher education standards and maintain National and State Accreditation. *Overseeing the Clinical Practice Office's work to build partnerships with schools, school districts and sites abroad in order to place more than 1000 student teachers per year in area K-12 schools. *Coordinating Tk20 and other assessment and data systems used within the College of Education.
The Office of the Associate Dean for Educator Preparation (ADEP) at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director I to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Collaborates with Deans, faculty, GAs and staff to identify relevant educator issues, conduct research, report and implement findings for ongoing evaluation and improvement of educator preparation programs. Maintains current knowledge of state and national education policy, including accreditation guidelines and reports. Partners with stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance in all programs (Includes: CAEP, PEDS, TEA, Title II, Legislative Budget Board). Interprets and distributes information to faculty, staff and administration; trains education stakeholders on new regulations; creates and delivers presentations to various university committees, faculty and students. Collaborates with ADEP, faculty, and staff to gather, analyze, and report information and data. Creates measurement instruments and rubrics to collect data and information for evaluation of educator preparation programs. Prepares state compliance and national accreditation reports. Develops and maintains data dashboard for Educator Preparation Programs. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and three years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
Master's Degree or higher including coursework in program evaluation, statistics, and/or education policy. 3+ Years P - 12 Teaching Experience P - 12 Administration Experience
