_POSITION SUMMARY: _ Individual proceeds on his/her own initiative, in compliance with policies, practices and procedures prescribed by professional nursing practice and approved by hospital's Nursing Division.

_POPULATION SERVED: _ Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served for radiologic exams: Skeletal and all body systems including but not limited to: pulmonary, cardiac, cardiovascular, GI, GU, GYN, Oncology, etc.

*REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS* Current RN license in Texas, BCLS certified NLN medication Examination. ACLS, PALS, NRP as age appropriate required within one year of employment or transfer to the department. Certification must be renewed no later than 30 days following expiration * * *REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE* 5 years critical care experience required with a good knowledge of cardiac drugs and arrhythmia's.

*PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES* Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring helpful, but not required. This position is exposed to ionizing radiation and requires the employee to wear a lead apron and stand for long periods of time. Minimum college; Associates degree, diploma or BSN required Reads and writes basic English with the basic skills necessary to transfer physician's orders. Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds, with assistance from other staff members. Knowledge of sterile procedures. Ability to listen, empathize, and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs.
