Kforce Desktop Support Specialist in Euless, Texas

Kforce has a client seeking a Desktop Support Specialist in Euless, Texas (TX).Summary: The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Microsoft Windows desktop, laptops, tablets, and associated peripherals, including AV equipment. The Desktop Support Specialist will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all end users.Duties (but not limited to):

  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows desktop and laptop computers

  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot mobile phones and tablets

  • Install and configure software

  • Setup and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals

  • Maintain and troubleshoot audio visual equipment

  • Document issue resolution using the help desk ticketing system

  • Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts

  • Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department

  • Provide functional support of Remote Desktop Services, Command Series, OnBase, EBS, Siebel, OBIEE, and Kronos applications

  • Execute other related tasks as directed

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people

  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years setup, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software

  • Windows desktops and laptops, Android, and iOS devices, in a networked environment

  • Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 and 2016

  • Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.)

  • Some knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration

  • Ability to climb a ladder to service projectors and run cables

  • Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment


  • Experience supporting Outlook in a Microsoft Exchange environment

  • Experience working with mobile phones and tablets

  • Experience supporting a variety of Wi-Fi-enabled devices

  • Experience supporting remote users
