Raytheon Sr Systems Engineer I/II in Fort Bliss, Texas
MCVC in White Sands, NM is searching for a qualified Engineer to join the Sensors & BMC3I team to support radar systems in various locations both domestic and international and required to travel extensively to support program requirements. Job Description: - Perform systems engineering, software installation, test and validation, system interface, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, and verification to ensure fully operational Radar equipment and system software performance. - Provide immediate resolution of system problems/failures that occur during operations. - Assist with data compilation and analysis, test setup and execution of all special tests and related data collection activities. - Support test conductor in the development of special test scripts and test requirements. - Provide radar operations support with running system diagnostics and analysis of results. - Provide software and operations support in analog and digital simulations, live operations, system performance checks, and other system specifics as requested. - Support a diverse team, internal/external customers and military personnel with technical system requirements. - Travel up to 50% to domestic and international remote locations to support program requirements. - Work in remote and hazardous locations exposed to energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance. Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Software or related engineering discipline. Basic Requirements: - Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical engineering support of field operations working with radar system software and operations in assessing and correcting faulty equipment. - Experience with Radar X-Band hardware/software concepts, RF systems, troubleshooting, and reading/utilizing hardware schematics. - Extensive experience with UNIX based OS platforms (Solaris, HP-UX, LINUX etc.) - Experience in maintaining and providing engineering assessment and corrective actions on faulted equipment, and installation and testing of engineering modifications/updates. - Active Secret clearance or obtain interim within 30 days from date of hire. - Security A+ certification Desired Requirements: - Experience using design, debug, and test hardware/software. - Knowledge of analog/digital hardware design. - Excellent teaming skills, multi-task, work under stress, support across multiple disciplines, and flexible to travel to support the radar. - Familiarity with Network equipment configuration/setup (routers switches etc) 101370
