This position performs preventative maintenance of all production related machinery.

Including but not limited to

  • Follow proper safety guidelines such as point of work risk assessment, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required

  • Follows equipment specific preventative maintenance procedures to accomplish daily task

  • Identifies and reports problems during PM to supervisor

  • Perform visual inspections, routine maintenance of production related equipment, and tests machinery and equipment after maintenance has been completed

  • Properly identify all machinery components and perform scheduled preventative maintenance

  • Maintains and changes out appropriate fluids, filters and performs coolant chemistry analysis and maintains proper chemistry levels for all production related machinery

  • Greases, oils, and lubricates components during preventative maintenance service

  • Performs minor repairs of equipment during the PM process

  • Performs production equipment monitoring for runtime

  • Completes required documentation in the CMMS system for runtime, parts and material usage

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) basic mechanical aptitude a must. Entry level position and will train qualified candidate.

  • Must be able to safely use and operate all shop hand tools and power tools.

  • Must be able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and extendable boom lifts.

  • Able to rig and operate lifting equipment

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret schematic drawings, procedure changes, and work orders.

Computer Skills:

The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software:

Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office and web based CMMS system.

Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

May come in contact with or be exposed to various chemicals such as cleaners, degreasers, coolants and lubricants.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. In certain areas of the facility personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
