Lockheed Martin College Student Non-Tech (Intern) in Fort Worth, Texas
The selected candidate for this position will assist the Integrated Logistics Support team in new business and proposal efforts. The candidate will aid in the development of metrics and supporting documentation to track, report and communicate all sustainment-related new business and proposal activity. In this role, the candidate will also coordinate with Integrated Logistics Support Managers (ILSMs), sustainment functions and other organizations within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company to learn about and execute new business and proposal strategies, gain insight and understanding of schedule, bids and proposal processes through participation and contribution. The successful candidate will also support the Sustainment Operations team, aiding in strategies to improve productivity and efficiency and tools to maximize effectiveness and daily business operations. The candidate will support monthly and quarterly cross functional sustainment meetings including Team Assessment Review (TAR,) Executive Performance Assessment Review (EPAR,) Quarterly Progress Review (QPR) and Risk Management Board and the creation of executive-level presentations. In this role, the candidate will also coordinate with the Sustainment Integration and Operations CAM to gain understanding of financial processes.
Work with ILSMs to develop mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving, assess project issues and develop resolutions to problems. Apply risk mitigation to a satisfactory end result to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Track budget and costs against schedules and assist the project manager.
Basic Qualifications • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or other industrial technology related discipline. • Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance
Desired skills • Prior experience in a related industry preferred. • Demonstrated experience with lean & process improvement initiatives. • Demonstrated experience with scrap, rework, & repair (SRR) reduction to include root cause & corrective action techniques. • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment. • Strong oral and written communication skills.
