Full Time - 1st shift
High School or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read and write and communicate in English and follow instructions
1 year relevant experience with floor cleaning equipment in an institutional setting
Operates floor maintenance equipment, including but not limited to, floor polisher / burnisher, and carpet cleaner/extractor, to maintain floors and provide a clean environment.
Maintains equipment in good working order. Cleans and stores equipment properly after each use. Reports repair needs to supervisor in a timely manner.
Follows safety and infection control practices when:
• handling and disposing of regular and medical waste
• practicing hand hygiene techniques
• Using standard and isolation precautions.
Safely uses the proper equipment for each assignment. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
