Cabela's Full-Time Gifts Lead Outfitter in Fort Worth, Texas
DESCRIPTION:Responsible for assisting theCamping management staff, and insures the proper execution of the associates’ duties.Assists management with the execution of personnel scheduling, coaching/mentoring, performance appraisal process and other supportive duties. Trains and instructs associates regarding the use of company products, product inventories, company policies and procedures.Assists customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions. Restocks merchandise to ensure the department and merchandise displays are organized and fully stocked. Performs general cleaning duties, such as dusting and vacuuming, to ensure a presentable department. Maintains product inventory by making periodic checks on inventory and making adjustments as needed on the computer. Corresponds with buyers and other departments regarding product demand, research, and development. Stays current with new trends and emerging technologies in the field.Performs other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS: 1 year of previous Gifts experience is preferred.Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail to insure accuracy of work. Ability to train and instruct associates.Ability to prioritize, delegate and accomplish multiple projects, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve common problems.Must be a Customer Service oriented team player and have the ability to pay close attention to detail. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers and other business contacts in a courteous, positive and professional manner. Extensive knowledge of the products, concepts and practices of hunting, fishing and camping. Ability to understand and explain technical features and uses of products.Knowledge of company retail practices and procedures. Skill in operating various retail and office equipment.Must be able to work the following: at least 3 out of 4 weekends a month; any day, including holidays; opening and closing shifts. Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. Qualified candidates should have advanced knowledge and at least 3 years of experience in the following areas:Camping, Tents – construction and set-up, Sleeping Bags, Outdoor Cooking and Survival Gear.
