Lockheed Martin Maintenance Trainer Sr in Fort Worth, Texas

Establishes and delivers technical training programs targeted on the maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, and test equipment. Serves as a SME to assist assigned programs in determining training needs and developing required training. Conducts training needs analyses and develops curriculum that is designed to enable sustained behavioral change and achievement of program, international client or business area priorities. Prepares training plans and produces materials for technical instruction. Establishes training solutions to support mission critical Aeronautics’ projects. Maintains currency in technical developments and training methodologies including technical contracts, orders and specifications. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, domestically and/or internationally to create optimized learning solutions. Represents the organization by providing innovative solutions to difficult manufacturing issues aligned with specific program, international client and/or business area needs. Drives lateral connectivity and collaboration within HR and across the enterprise. Delivers data-driven learning solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible. Creates, supports and rewards an agile learning environment that enables innovation, inclusion and leadership.

Basic Qualifications • Preferred candidate will have experience in two or more of the following disciplines (ESH, Structures, Coatings, Electrical, Sealant, Manufacturing Controls, Avionics and Plumbing) • Plans and delivers manufacturing training programs for factory production employees and field support personnel. • Conducts training and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. • Executes and maintains company-wide training programs across multiple disciplines, as well as the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system. • Responsible for instilling and maintaining process discipline through classroom instruction and lab sessions. • Prepares classrooms and sets-up training materials; conducts classroom, shop and simulator training (if required) with customers for the purpose of developing and maintaining a high degree of proficiency. • Maintains currency in ESH and developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of applicable courseware. • Interfaces with the ESH and production operations to determine training and certification requirements for assigned personnel and make recommendations to supervision/management for de-certification due to substandard performance and/or the inability to complete assigned tasks within established time parameters. • Assist in shaping the culture within the facility by reinforcing concepts and company policies • May revise lesson plans to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements. • May perform data analysis and gather information for new training; prepare and maintain training materials; and coordinate the development of new training materials and training aids. • May coordinate with site Subject Matter Experts to meet new training needs • May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs

Desired skills • Comprehensive knowledge of DOT, EPA, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI and other technical safety and health standards, including legislation evaluation and interpretation • Experience with of DOT training requirements for handling, labeling, containerizing, and transporting hazardous materials, DOT Hazardous Materials, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hazardous Waste Management, Blood Borne Pathogens, Respiratory protection and fit testing, Haz-Com, and Flight line Driver training. • Experience with Behavior Based Safety training. Instructor skills. Analytical skills • Able to establish and direct ESH training systems and/or conduct classroom and practical instruction to provide knowledge for the preparation of aircraft finishes, including surface preparation, coatings applications, and fastener fill processes in accordance with prescribed procedures • Comprehensive knowledge in aircraft finish systems, particularly related to military fighter aircraft • Experience with Advanced Finish Applications, surface preparation including sanding and masking with emphasis on composite finishes, Fastener Fill processes, aircraft paint mixing, composite coating applications, surface preparation and primer application • Comprehensive knowledge in aircraft electrical systems, aircraft electronics, and avionics systems and components • Strong understanding of aircraft electrical power system generation as well as an understanding of the needs of aircraft electricians • High level of expertise and experience in aircraft electrical, electronics and avionics wiring system installation, as well as associated components, equipment installation, check-out and power-off tests. • Knowledgeable in soldering, wiring and testing, and harness routing, handling, and cleaning processes. This knowledge should include but not be limited to variations of coax/high performance coax, semi-rigid, rigid-silicon dioxide (S102) and fiber optics. • Comprehensive knowledge in aircraft maintenance, structural assembly, inspection, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, and test equipment related to military aircraft • Comprehensive knowledge in aircraft systems, particularly related to military fighter aircraft • Experience in aircraft manufacturing training including Instructional System Design (ISD) concepts: understanding of installation, operational checkout, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft systems including fuel systems, hydraulics and landing gear, flight controls, electrical systems, and propulsion systems at the crew chief and final assembly levels • Able to establish and deliver training systems and/or conduct classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge on installation and removal of components, testing, analysis, rework, adjustment, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems at all levels of manufacturing and final assembly; provide assistance and support to production operations by helping determine training needs; and delivering effective training. • Instructor skills including classroom lecture and lab presentations. • Strong verbal and written skills • Strong Computer skills.
