Lockheed Martin Operations Analyst Staff in Fort Worth, Texas

As a member of the Operations Analysis organization, the candidate will be performing modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), system design, payloads, weapons and tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness, as well as perform analysis to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment. Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, executing trade studies utilizing constructive engagement and/or mission simulations, quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs), analyzing simulation results to draw meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis results.

The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment is critical. This individual will be in the Aeronautics Strategy and Business Development (ASBD) & Aero Programs Operations Analysis team; however, their focus will be to provide analysis products to the Strategic Studies Group. This will include air combat force structure, force mix, and threat assessments focused around supporting the ASBD organization. This candidate will develop and apply methods for evaluating emerging war fighting concepts and technologies. They will collaborate with leadership to define study objectives, identify Measures of Effectives, select/develop analytical approaches, execute analysis, and communicate of results. This individual may also be called on to support analysis for any program/platform needed within the Operations Analysis organization. ADPAERO

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have a technical degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or Operations Research with appropriate number of professional experience and three plus years of operations analysis experience and related tools.

Experience with analytical thinking and problem solving skills are required, as well as the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Understanding of DoD Acquisition processes and how analysis products support key decisions.

At least five years of air combat operations analysis experience.

Strong computer skills are required, and the candidate must be experienced with and fluent in Microsoft Office suite, and Windows & other operating environments.

An active Secret government security clearance with a current background investigation is required to start. And the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and access to Special Access Programs.

Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills

Prior experience in system engineering or military operations analysis desired; including, experience in military constructive simulations or trade study design.

Prior experience with Excel/VBA/C++/JAVA/PERL/XML

Mathematical and/or Statistical Modeling skills

MATLAB knowledge

Knowledge of military systems; with experience modeling employment of weapon systems and the operation of threat air & ground systems in simulations

Prior experience with Operational analysis Tools is desired (ESAMS, JAAM, BRAWLER, SUPPRESSOR, EADSIMS, AFSIM, MOSAIC, THUNDER, CFAM)

Design of experiments and/or optimization knowledge

Ability to formulate structured approaches for analyzing complex problems involving multiple domains. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and model them in a system of systems framework.

Good written and verbal communication skills
