The UNT System College of Pharmacy is developing an innovative pharmacy curriculum that will lead to a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. This four year degree program will be offered at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The global vision of the College of Pharmacy is to make health care better. Making healthcare better crucially depends upon improved teamwork of a variety of healthcare professionals and improved access for patients. We believe that pharmacy professionals in turn are crucial to both improved health care teamwork and patient access.

Position Details
  • This posting is an hourly position and is non-benefits eligible.

The Admissions department is seeking to hire a temporary/hourly Recruitment/Admissions Assistant to assist with our upcoming admission cycle.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Entry level administrative support including contact with applicants for interviewing purposes, working with faculty and admissions staff to accomplish applicant interviews, extensive electronic communication with applicants and staff, answering phones, assisting visitors, filing, making copies and organizing interview materials, and distributing mail and processing applicant fees.

  • Duties may also include researching applicant inquiries, receiving and relaying calls for dispatch of personnel, (interview) lunches, and maintenance according to established procedures and/or recording detailed information from applicants.

  • Carries out routine duties that require a sequence of steps usually performed in a standardized way.

  • Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Complexity: Applies basic skills within function/specialization. Multi-tasking skills required. Very strong organizational skills are required.

Supervision Received: Receives clear and specific instructions and/or follows standardized written instructions or procedures without ongoing supervision. Work is checked for accuracy, adequacy and adherence to instructions. Employee consults with supervisor on matters not covered in the original instructions or by guidelines.

Supervision Given: Has no responsibility for overseeing/supervising staff employees.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University.
