HOURS: 7AM-7PM; 2-12 hour days with weekend and holiday requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs. RNs hired after January, 2014, require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date. RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas; Current RN licensure
*ACLS and Current AHA BLS training.
*One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program, or acceptance into a THR residency program.
*One year of PCU experience strongly preferred
-Will also be responsible for assisting with overflow patients when needed.
Delivers patient care utilizing the Nursing Process
Incorporates age specific care-patient safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient/parent's need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers.
Maintains professional accountability:
Assists in meeting department/hospital KPI's related to: Patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performance, organizational effectiveness, community health care a registered nurse.
