Job Description

  • Responsible for design, development, migration and maintenance Java/J2EE based applications;

  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement

  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects

  • Create technical specifications and test plans

  • Build automated scripts to deploy applications

  • Work on agile teams

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with J2EE, core Java, Maven, Web services and UML

  • Experience with modern web technologies like HTML5/CSS3 and AngularJS or ExtJS, JQuery

  • Hands on experience in spring, hibernate and JPA.

  • Expertise in IBM WebSphere and TC servers or equivalent Enterprise application server

  • Experience with Maven, Junit and Jenkins.

  • Expertise in XML technologies including XSD, XPATH, and Object XML mapping

  • Experience with integration design and technologies such as IBM MQ, and JMS.

  • Knowledge of Web Services methodologies using REST and SOAP based API’s

  • Knowledge of server push framework’s like web sockets.

  • Experience with relation database (SQL/Oracle)

  • Exposure to Source Code management concepts and tools like SVN and TFS/GIT.

  • Exposure to Agile development methodology & Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • Ability to maintain and enhance existing services, applications, and platforms

Additional Qualifications

Analyze system requirements, design, and document solutions using specified tools and methodologies

  • Team handling experience

  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions

  • Work closely with architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise needs

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Responsive UI frame work – Twitter Bootstrap

  • Airline business systems knowledge

  • Experience with SABRE

  • Good communication skills

  • Graduate degree in Engineering or equivalent (B.E/B.Tech from Premier Technology Institutes)

  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience
