Job Description

The Senior Account Manager, Partner Marketing is responsible for a portfolio of AAdvantage accounts driving over $50M in annual revenue for American Airlines. This individual must have experience in maintaining and growing strategic relationships and developing integrated marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for identifying new opportunities within the account portfolio based on knowledge of the loyalty industry and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual partnership plans with key stakeholders within each account in support of strategic initiatives

  • Perform comprehensive contract negotiations including economics and risk assessment to enrich the value proposition for our customers and the portfolio

  • Utilize various tools and tactics to identify transactional trends and opportunities against key performance metrics

  • Work collaboratively with marketing and all marketing channel owners to optimize the partner offers and to align on the prioritization of partner messaging and value to our AAdvantage members.

  • Analyze and research industry and market trends to better deliver innovative customer facing offers

  • Develop recommendations, as well as written and/or oral presentations of those recommendations, to senior management

  • Ensure contract compliance across the organization

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership, communication, creative thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven high level of initiative, creativity, collaboration and follow-up in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple departments and partner entities

  • Proven relationship management skills with ability to build strategic plans

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Must work well in a collaborative, team environment

  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel

  • Knowledge of customer loyalty programs and how AAdvantage fits into that landscape - preferred

  • Integrated marketing experience/ contract negotiation experience/ financial analytics / strategic planning

  • BA/BS Degree required; Business/Marketing/Relationship Management knowledge preferred

  • Some travel required
