Job Description

Thought leader for co-brand portfolio growth by leveraging data insights from American and its co-brand partners – Citibank and MasterCard


Responsible for analyzing credit card acquisitions operations through developing, maintaining, and enhancing data oriented insights. Apply analytical modeling and data optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, growth evaluations, financial analyses, and other managerial functions. Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests. Develop reports and proposals, such as market assessments, business plans, strategic and tactical marketing, financial performance plans, yield and pricing programs, network profitability plans, capital expenditure requests, supply and distribution improvements, etc. Collaborate with management to identify and clarify management objectives, and to identify, implement and evaluate revenue growth programs. Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning processes. Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, fleet analyses, market trends, ROI analyses, performance & budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Negotiate and mediate complex pricing and financial implications of contracts. Collaborate with different department heads in the organization to ensure the successful implementation of management’s business solutions.Develop periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analyses / projects outlining key business drivers and explain variances against budget. Interact with other groups including Accounting, Finance, Cooperative Marketing Sales, Leisure Sales, Revenue Management, Interactive Marketing, and Corporate Communications.Work with different teams to execute the credit card acquisition strategy using different channels available like, email, marketing and admirals club teams. Work with the internal leadership to determine optimal strategy and offer for increasing customer acquisitions. Develop and present analysis and segmentation of customers to target with different offers and strategy for increasing credit card acquisition and improve existing channels

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Strategy or related field

  • 3 - 5 years of experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders involved

  • Demonstrated experience in analytical data modeling and other targeting and segmentation processes

  • Experience in digital technologies like digital marketing and .com functionalities

  • Ability to work with data and databases for analytical purposes and the ability to pull critical information using SQL queries

  • Experience with IT teams and projects with digital counterparts

  • Must be able to work with external partners like Citibank and MasterCard on an ongoing basis for analytical and strategy discussions

  • Experience working on business case development from ideation to execution
