Job Description

The Sr. Analyst, Co-Brand Strategy will be responsible for a full range of strategic projects designed to drive incremental revenue and overall business development of the Barclays/AAdvantage co-brand card program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data mining, CRM, customer research and analysis to understand transactional trends and opportunities to be leveraged for the development of new products and benefits

  • Work on quantitative and qualitative analysis for projects, development of recommendations, as well as written and/or oral presentations of those recommendations to senior management

  • Develop and lead reporting efforts for the Barclays/AAdvantage co-brand card program

  • Lead product development efforts to launch new benefits, including analysis and research on new benefits, working with other departments to facilitate launch, as well as tracking impact of new benefits

  • Manage the annual budget for the Barclays co-brand team and interact with Finance on monthly or ad-hoc processes

  • Serve as liaison between Barclays and Legal for contract support and initiatives

  • Track and report competitive developments and driving customer research initiatives

  • Lead key IT projects to improve the cardmember experience and ultimately drive increased loyalty with American and Barclays

  • Internal and cross-functional coordination and project delivery often includes Customer Insights & Loyalty Program Strategy, and Partner Marketing teams as well as other teams at American such as Legal, Finance, and IT

  • Travel required to support partner meetings and Co-Brand educational roadshows across airports

  • Communication (who will this Job communicate with and in what capacity): This position with communicate with external partners and vendors as well as internal departments such as AAdvantage, Finance, and Legal

Job Qualifications

  • BA/BS required. MBA/MS preferred

  • Experience in the financial industry, analytical research, strategic planning, revenue forecasting, management reporting

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills required

  • Proven high level of initiative, creativity, collaboration and follow-up in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple departments and partner entities

  • Can identify, prioritize, manage and grow different business and marketing initiatives simultaneously

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work with SQL codes and to utilize Business Intelligence tools, such as MS Access, SAS or IBM Cognos

  • Developing management presentations and reporting dashboards using finance metrics and language

  • Working with data analytics, financial modeling, and forecasting for sales projections, behavioral trending and market analysis

  • Managing partner relationships including contract negotiation and promotion evaluations and funding

  • Must work well within a team and interact effectively with peers to support the co-brand team’s broader goals and objectives

  • Must be able to travel regularly
