Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

POWER is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to replace the retiring Staff Assistant for the Small Utility Services Department in the Fort Worth, Texas, office. Duties include managing electronic files and department calendar, scheduling meetings, typing transmittals and letters, updating department agenda and meeting notes, completing office and field expense reports, assisting in new employee orientation, organizing annual client appreciation dinner, and general office support. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Outlook

  • Written and verbal communication skills which display professionalism

  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Desired Education/Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience supporting an office department, preferably in an engineering or technical environment

  • Experience working in a construction project and project team environment office preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Project

  • Additional business education or accounting experience would complement this position
