JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for all phases of warehousing, mail processing, minor maintenance and distribution within the instructed guidelines and timeframes of the supervisor/project manager. This will include sorting, researching, delivering the mail to designated mail stops.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate electronic jack or forklift
Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels of forms and parking decals
Setup conference room or training rooms
Inventory Control of required forms and supplies necessary for all operational tasks assigned
Provide minor maintenance of facility/equipment and order repair parts for minor maintenance tasks
Receive and process incoming and outgoing freight
Transfer mail tubs from loading docks to mail room in the morning and mailroom to dock in the afternoon (if needed)
Sort mail from tubs to distribution tables, which are then broken down by mail code in the mail bins
Containerize mail or freight as needed in preparation for shipping
Research mail not properly addressed or properly coded
Remove trash and keep work area clean and organized
Licensed to operate a motor vehicle
Perform x-ray scan using a x-ray machine to scan all mail and packages for security of customers if required by contract
If required at site, pull bags to be sent at the end of the day
Responsible for performing job in safe manner, with concern for others and a desire to increase production
If needed, process machineable mail (folding, inserting, sealing, and opening)
Follow HAZMAT procedures for handling potentially hazardous mail
Process accountable mail utilizing accountable mail tracking system
Perform duties of a mail meterer on an as needed basis
Preferred experience working in a warehouse or mail center.
Maintain a state issued driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be able to work on routine and repetitive tasks for long periods with minimum supervision. Must be able to stand, reach, and walk for long periods of time. Ability to make minor decisions regarding mail issues/questions.
Preferred experience in UPS and Federal Express shipping and procedures.
Candidates must be able to bend, stand, walk, climb stairs, move and/or lift up to 75 pounds, have the ability to read and comprehend standing operating procedures and performance work statements for mail warehouseing, and conference set-up. Must possess the ability to work effectively to accomplish necessary work. Basic typing skills are mandatory.
Must be able to pass a background check and operate electronic pallet jack.
High School diploma or equivalent.
$15.02/hour plus H&W
