Salary Range

Salary is commensurate with experience in line with the NIH guidelines for Research Associate salaries, beginning at $29,120 per year.

Specific Job Related Duties

The successful candidate will conduct preclinical translational research for addiction and related disorders. Synergistic pharmacological, drug discovery, molecular/cellular and preclinical neurobiology approaches are employed in the laboratory with a focus on identifying and validating new molecular therapeutic targets and agents for treating addiction and related disorders. The Research Assistant will work collaboratively with laboratory members to support projects investigating the neuropharmacology of Dopamine receptors and other G protein-coupled receptors.

Preferred Skill/Competency

Our preference is a candidate with a B.S. or M.S. (biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology, molecular biology, neuroscience) with knowledge and experience performing biochemical and cellular assays. The candidate will perform primary research using a variety of techniques and approaches including high-throughput drug screening, cellular signaling assays, primary cell culture and molecular biology.
