Kelly Services Maintenance Mechanic in Garland, Texas
Kelly Engineering Resources is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a DIRECT HIRE position located in Garland, TX for a premier client who specializes in coatings. This position will report to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager and support all maintenance responsibilities for the plant equipment and facilities.
This individual will be involved with the day-to-day maintenance of the manufacturing facility. The individual will perform a variety of maintenance, electrical and instrumentation duties involving the maintenance of the plant equipment and facilities. Needs to be knowledgeable of electrical applications such as 3 phase 480-volt power distribution, motor controls, variable frequency drives, pressure, flows, temperature, and level transmitters. In addition, this position will be expected to participate in Continuous Improvement efforts and contractor oversight as necessary.
Necessary skills for this position may include the ability to safely troubleshoot complex electrical systems that include relays, fuses, contactors, and circuit breakers as well as the ability to install such systems. Extensive knowledge and experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC). Will also need to be able to read, write, edit and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC logic and others. This person may be called upon to use the skills necessary to troubleshoot complex equipment containing photoelectric sensors, reed switches, pneumatic cylinders and hydraulic rams in an efficient manner. The individual will need to work with little or no supervision and may be called on to mentor a less experienced mechanic. This person has the responsibility to handle any or all duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or leader as required to keep the facility in good operating order. This individual has an understanding of all equipment in the maintenance shop, how to use them safely and can demonstrate this knowledge.
Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Licensed Electrician in Texas a plus, associate of Science Degree a plus, and must be able to lift 50 lbs routinely and safely.
