Cornerstone Healthcare Group is currently recruiting talented and clinically orientated pharmacists to practice in our newly developed remote order entry center located in the Houston area. Our center will provide after-hours pharmacy services for our hospitals.

We are currently recruiting for both 7on/7 off shifts and week day evening shifts.

The Remote Order Entry Pharmacist will be responsible for providing remote clinical pharmacy services for our 18 LTCA system hospitals located in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and West Virginia.

These services are inclusive of the following:

  • Remote order entry and order verification

  • Drug utilization review

  • Therapeutic drug monitoring and management

  • Physician and nursing consultations and recommendations


  • Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy with a BS degree in pharmacy or a Pharmacy Doctorate

  • Current Pharmacy license in the state of Texas

  • Two (2) years of clinical hospital inpatient experience. LTAC experience preferred

  • Ability to gain additional pharmacist license through reciprocity to additional states

  • Experience with HMS (Medhost) pharmacy information system preferred

  • Excellent communication skills to enable successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of quality clinical care

  • Ability to manage multiple facility policy and procedures and maintain compliance with state and federal laws
