We are currently looking for an Account Manager to join our Sales department in the Houston, TX area .

The Account Manager role at Forsythe is an exceptional sales job, one which pays extremely well for success. We emphasize the business partnership aspects of the client relationship, though this is a pure sales position. As Account Manager, you will be expected to sell complete product and services solutions across our broad portfolio, including all the major vendors in Compute, Virtualization, Storage, Connectivity and Security, as well as professional and managed services. To support the operational and capital budget strategies of our clients, we offer a broad range of financial services as well.

At Forsythe, product teams back up the Account Manager to have unprecedented freedom to get close to your client and understand the client's business and IT needs, at both executive and operational levels.

It is the Account Manager's responsibility to find, qualify and develop new accounts. The most successful Account Managers understand all our offerings and offer fact-based IT solutions to each client. Success also requires developing value-enhancing business relationships with our manufacturing partners and their local and regional representatives.

Successful Account Managers have a solid understanding of technology including a variety of hardware and software platforms. The ability to capitalize on existing business relationships is a real plus. We have found that Account Managers who succeed at Forsythe over time have strong entrepreneurial spirit. Required Skills

  • 5+ years proven sales success in computer hardware sales, or in systems integration

  • Proven success at cold calling into accounts

  • Understanding of computer hardware/software platforms

  • Aggressive, high-energy approach to doing business, self starter

  • Money motivated, confident Strong sense of urgency

  • Understands solution selling

  • Ability to orchestrate resources in a team selling environment

  • Willingness to devote personal time to customers and vendor partners to develop relationships

  • A solid understanding of leasing or a very strong interest in developing a lease portfolio

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills to assist you at the executive level

  • Business acumen to understand the whole picture while executing at the detail level

  • Effective listening skills Relationship selling experience

  • Local territory experience and established relationships are musts
