Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking a business development leader responsible for identifying new commercial steam turbine business opportunities. Primarily revamps and upgrade opportunities that will generate revenue growth. Building and maintaining strong customer and partner relationships. Collaborate with Siemens (D-R) Sales colleagues to achieve growth objectives. Mentor.
Seek market opportunities with a strong sales strategy with appropriate tools and route to market. (This position will have the ability to work remotely).
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
Minimum 8 years’ experience in industry with 3 years’ experience in business development or technical sales. Or pre-sales or services roles in similar market segment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to conceptualize and communicate on all levels from front lines to top levels, internally and externally
Must be able to present in English
Candidates with ability to work from remote location within the United States to be considered
International travel as required.
Candidate must be a US citizen.
TWIC card required
BS Engineering with 5 years’ experience in application or design of rotating equipment
Strong technical knowledge of steam turbines with ability to calculate turbine performance.
Strong technical knowledge of steam systems / cycles and what the various components provide in the process.
- MBAFluent in a second language – Spanish.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Drive and support business growth globally.
Develop/ enhance market strategy via direct sales
Learn and leverage the commercial steam turbine product line and the technical resources available.
Understand the various industries this equipment operating in and what process is driven.
Understanding of business, competitive, legal and regulatory environment, and mission needs and challenges of targeted customers and partners.
Develop commercial proposals with a clear knowledge of pricing, and margins in the targeted market segment and value proposition.
Engage in client facing activities and proposal development for complex selling solutions.
