We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of CO2 Operations Specialist Scheduler within our Permian EOR Strategic Sourcing group based in Houston, TX.
Essential Job Duties:
The CO2 Operations Scheduler will oversee and direct the movements and accounting of strategic gas and CO2 pipeline flows from equity and purchase sources for both internal use and third parties. Roles and responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
Understand every available option of strategic gas movements from each location to delivery points to handle normal flows and flow during system changes or upsets.
Understand overall system requirements and keep informed of planned changes.
Understand and interpret contracts and obligations related to CO2 and produced gas transportation, sales and processing
Confirm receipt and accuracy of Oxy and third parties monthly nominations for strategic gas.
Confirm Oxy and third parties nominated volumes with connecting carriers.
Maintain daily over and short volumes in all pipeline segments and monitor receipts to ensure nominations are met.
Ensure flow and nomination changes are being made to balance pipeline system during upsets.
Understand and interpret volume data flow from each receipt location.
Coordinate routine checks to maintain required records regarding metering in Pgas.
Participate in projects that will/can impact gas flow. *LI-YN1
3 or more years of experience with knowledge of pipeline flows, pumping and/or compression, line pressures, and metering
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Self starter with the ability to work independently and meet the objectives of the job and the team
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Basic knowledge of accounting and financial systems
Strong data management capability
Travel to fields as required
Ability to work flexible hours and be on call 50% of the time Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; or relevant experience with pipeline flows/fluid mechanics in lieu of technical degree
Field experience with knowledge of pipeline flows, compression, line pressures, and metering
Experience working with MS Access, Pgas and GraphworX softwares
Knowledge of CO2 and/or natural gas contractual terminology
