Job Description :

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with up to 5 years of work experience. Preference will be given to individuals with a background in contracts administration.

The HP Contract Administrator will structure, develop, and manage sales agreements with customers, including new customer purchase agreements, renewals, and amendments. The primary job activities include:

  • Provides contractual consultation to internal business teams and external customers on agreement structuring and terms and conditions.

  • Investigates and resolve internal and external customer inquiries regarding active agreements and HP’s terms and conditions.

  • Acts as the initial negotiation point for standard terms and conditions.

  • Completes required customer forms such as Representations, Certifications, Vendor Forms and W-9s.

  • Manages HP’s sales contracts to ensure customer that eligibility requirements such as - sales and other contract performance; reporting; validation and confirmation of contract discount/pricing - are completed in a timely fashion as required to consistently meet contract compliance requirements.

  • Assists with standard product purchase agreement requests

  • Participates in complex product and service RFPs, and applies judgment to select existing agreements, standard templates, or approved alternative language for responses. Reviews existing contracts to determine which contract best aligns against the bid and order purposes.

  • Supports internal and external clients. Interfaces with customers, legal, finance/revenue recognition, business unit, sales, and other direct and indirect stakeholder teams to execute agreements and support timely booking of HP business.

  • Confirms and reviews approvals and signatures

  • Prepares data for system entry and agreement archiving.

  • Ensures all contracts are accurately recorded in HP systems of record and are maintained in accordance with HP Records Retention requirements compliant with financial reporting and audit requirements.

  • Assists with and responds to post-execution contract inquiries.

  • Works independently on multiple deals with various deal types.

  • Leads or participates in contract related projects, as required, including new product introductions and new program implementations.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience managing product and services sales contracts.

Mandatory requirements include

  • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Business, Contracts/Legal or other related discipline from a recognized university or equivalent work experience.

  • Background should include experience in working with US State, local government and public sector entities and sales contracts with State, local government and public sector organizations.

  • Must be able to read and understand contract and terms and conditions. Demonstrated ability to work with customers and HP business partners in a sales contractual consultative role.

  • Able to balance customer requirements within established company business controls and compliance objectives.

  • Able to work independently as part of a virtual team and across organizations.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Sound business judgment and decision making.

  • Established ability to work with Customers and with sales teams.

  • Detail orientated, and confirmed analytical capabilities,

  • Able to manage aggressive deadlines in a fast paced selling environment.
