The mission of The University of Texas M. D. The goal of MDA department of Immunology is to perform multidisciplinary research and educational activities in basic and cancer immunology.

The ideal candidate will have Flow Cytometry experience.

The salary range min $ 51,600 mid $ 64,500 max $ 77,400.


  1. Responsible for troubleshooting and assisting with experimental designs and protocols for the IMT.

  2. Responsible for ensuring quality control, evaluating protocols, and maintaining all flow cytometers and sorters of the IMT.

  3. Stays abreast with the latest technology available in both flow and mass cytometry.

  4. Handles reviews of literature and provisions of references.

  5. Performs training on analytical cytometry and assists with data analysis/interpretation and display graphics. Masters and works with software(s) that can be used to analyze high order cytometry data (e.g., SPADE, viSNE).

  6. Handles all flow-related inquiries and runs samples for the IMT using flow cytometry and/or mass cytometry.

  7. Develops new flow and mass cytometry assays and develops new flow panels (17-18) colors for the IMT.

8.Other Duties as Assigned.


Required: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science.


Required: Four years of general laboratory experience to include three years of tissue culture and strong computer skills -OR- three years of flow cytometry at M. D. Anderson.

Preferred: Flowcytometry experience.
