EAP-Student Counseling/Assessment and Referral Specialist

Serves as the primary student counseling staff for key customer and EAP counselor. Duties may include general mental health assessment, development of treatment plan as it relates to the student and their ability to attend to matriculation and graduation, and appropriate referrals to community resources. Assists faculty and staff on most appropriate strategies regarding student behavior. Interfaces with multiple departments and staff that includes but is not limited to training, consultation, preventative strategies, and committee representation.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
LPC, LCSW or similar licensure
Experience in working with students and faculty in higher education
Experience in providing educational workshops in a workplace setting
Prior EAP experience preferred.
Additional Summary Specific to Job
Masters degree in psychology, social work, or related behavioral science field with a minimum of three(3) years of clinical experience.
Commensurate with experience
This position works with Houston Independent School District (H.I.S.D.) students.
This position works with minors under the age of 18 years.
This position will be working in a laboratory or clinic
This position will use radiation sources
