Under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer, the candidate shall perform a variety of civil engineering work related to large diameter pipeline design/assessment and drawings/specifications preparation. The position requires candidate to have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and 0-2 years of experience in pipeline design or a related technical area. Candidate should have some knowledge of commonly used design concepts, practices, and procedures and be able to take instructions and follow pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment but will require candidate to coordinate with supervisor when questions/issues arise. Candidate will report to a supervisor or project manager and shall be able to work within a team environment.

The focus of this position will be municipal drainage projects.

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
  • 1-3 years of engineering experience.
  • Must have passed or ability to take FE Exam within 1 year.
  • Knowledge and use of MicroSoft Office, CADD and GIS software a plus.
  • Experience with modeling using any of the HEC packages.
  • Experience with GIS, XPSWMM highly preferred.
